Cortinas Sol began in 2009 when founder Elena Morales noticed a gap in the market. Homeowners could either choose mass-produced curtains that never quite fit, or pay premium prices for bespoke work from firms focused primarily on commercial projects.
We set out to offer something different. Professional quality custom curtains at prices that make sense for residential projects. A decade and a half later, that mission remains unchanged.
Our workshop sits in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Every curtain we sell is made here by a team of skilled seamstresses and installers who take genuine pride in their craft. When you work with us, you work with the people who actually make your curtains.
We will tell you when a simpler solution makes more sense. Not every window needs elaborate treatment, and we respect both your space and your budget.
We source fabrics from established European mills with documented production practices. Every material we offer has been tested for durability, light resistance, and care requirements.
From the initial measurement to the final adjustment, we focus on getting things right. Small details like proper lining weight and accurate hem length make the difference between adequate and excellent.
Our installation team works cleanly and carefully. We protect your floors, move furniture when needed, and leave your space as we found it.
Our workshop employs twelve full-time craftspeople including pattern makers, seamstresses, and installation specialists. Most have been with us for five years or more.
